The progression
Red. Orange. Green. Big court.
Every kid starts where they'll succeed and moves up when they're ready.
- ages ~4 to 8
Red Ball
First swings, first rallies. Slow balls and small courts so kids succeed fast.
- ages ~8 to 10
Orange Ball
Longer rallies, real strokes, first friendly matches.
- ages ~9 to 12+
Green Ball
Full strokes, scoring and match play, ready for the big court.
Based on Tennis Canada's progressive tennis approach.
Meet your coach
Meet Coach Peter
Peter has spent 48 years on court teaching kids (and plenty of parents) to love this game. He was Head Pro at the Côte Saint-Luc Tennis Club and represented Canada on the Maccabi Canada Masters team at the 2022 Maccabiah Games in Israel. His favorite moment in any lesson: the first time a kid hits it back over the net and looks at their parents like they just won Wimbledon.
